What's Ideal For A Newbie?

Hello, I want to do a stealth cupboard box grow, I have a few ideas, I don't want to type much or I'll repeat what I've already said over in Newbie Central.

This post is not asking for grow advice as such but asking about plants to grow.

I want a plant which grows fast and stays small so, lowryder?

Are these two good to grow for an inexperienced grower? They grow very short right?

Is there any chance, using LST and SCROG that I could grow all those plants in a 23x20x20'' box?

your box is not that small buddy. you can pick whatever strain you want if you scrog or lst and start flowering in the right time.

I grew Easyryder before, it stays very short if the pot is small.

Don't get any greenhouse strains/seeds. Look it up on this forum, there are dozens of bad reviews. They focus purely on PR, not making good genetically stable strains so don't buy from them.

I'm going to grow lowryder #2, easy ryder and diesel ryder this summer. they're all meant to be pretty easy, small and fast to grow but Avrum is right, there is a lot you can do with lst and topping (though don't top autos). I chose them because I'm growing in a small greenhouse outside and I don't want big plants my neighbours will notice.

In all honesty I was more leaning towards the lowryders and I had it in my head for a while that I wanted to grow those. The greenomatic ones caught my eye because of 5 seeds insteads of 3 and a low price but I guess that's part of the reason why not to go with em lol

When I get the chance I'm going to turn my cardboard box into more of a grow box, lines the insides and work on smellproofing it and making sure noise and light don't escape

Somewhere on here a guy made a tutorial about making a cardboard box. He used vinyl floor tiles to line the box and then painted/put mylar over that. Makes it sturdier and probably more head insulated and easier to control light leaks and they cost around $.50 per sq ft.
I was just too lazy to do it myself lol

I guess I'll also need a timer.

I'm not going to use computer fans, I'm going to get a small desktop mains powered fan then set it to rotate and put it on the slowest setting, I'm sure there's a way of altering the voltage so it goes even slower if needs be.

then I guess buy a timer for the lights, right, onto see some easyryder growing journals
