whats hemp?

so i was just talking to a guy about gas prices, and he was saying that "they" have them by the "balls". when i told him that the diesel engine was invented by a german cat and rand it on peanut oil he was confused. then i told him henry ford built the first model T out of hemp products and ran on a hemp oil fuel, he said, "whats hemp". i kindly explained what it was from, and with simple research he could find a whole but load of uses for the stuff, he asked why it was illegal then and i told him because of Mr Hearst and dupont. I then stated that in 1936 Popular Mechanics Magazine released an article called Hemp: the billion dollar cash crop. then in 1937 it became illegal. what is hemp? any comments?

it's a weed, come on!

The marijuana we smoke today is the "hemp" they use to smoke back in the day it was less potent.

umm. i know what hemp is. the guy i was talking to didnt. thats my point. i was under the impression that everyone know what it was. i learned about it in school for crying out loud.

Dude you ask what hemp was. He tried to tell you and you were like Oh I know what it is......then why did you ask?

unfortunatly because we write to communicate you could not see my expressions or hear my tones of voice. maybe i should have said it like: what is HEMP? Geeeeze. who the hell doesnt know what F$CKING HEMP is. then maybe you guys would have understood since obviously you cant READ! my first post clearly states that I EXPLAINED WHAT HEMP WAS TO HIM! got it now?>
