to the OP, i would say that it will only happen state by state via voter initiatives. storming the bastille is not the answer, the answer is slow, deliberate progress on the part of we the people until enough states are on board.

the composition of the entire message, obama clips and contrasting ronald clips, was such that it is political advertising.

advertising is not allowed on this site. if i were a mod i would just delete it as inappropriate. as a member, i will not even report it as it is not spam, but advertising.

the topic of the thread is "what we all need to do", and the OP is a vision of millions of stoners going to capitals and demanding that a vote be held in this next election on re-legalization of cannabis. it had nothing to do with one candidate or the other, it was an invocation to gather in mass as people not behind a candidate, but for a single cause.

you took the OP and used it as a chance to advertise one candidate over another. that is garbage that i would delete off this site. make it less obvious, at least. be subtle. like this.

You are the ultimate master of the liberal redefiner. Advertise gives the assumption of capital or goodwill gain. I think the word you were looking for is, PROMOTE. You can thank me later for fixing your mistake. Just because you're obnoxious, doesn't mean you're not promoting. Other words: fanatic(fan), follower, evangelism, and cheerleader. He's also a Ron Paul: nerd, dweeb or geek. I would hardly call it advertising, though, unless he's on the campaign staff.

i thought someone as smart as you would see that i defined promoting vs. advertising in my innocuous post.

smirgen referenced obama singing in his post, so i subtly slipped it in, thus promoting the singing that smirgen talked about.

the OP talked of mass gathering(s) for re-legalization, and smirgen not so subtly composed an impromptu ron paul spam ad, thus advertising something completely irrelevant that the OP never talked about.

now that i am not a mod, i can just point out my reasoning with no ability to enforce it. and just LOL at watching people justify it, rather than accept it.

Advertise:1) describe or draw attention to (a product, service, or event) in a public medium in order to promote sales or attendance.

Notice the word, archaic, meaning you have to be as old or older than Brick Top to use it. Even then, you need to get with the times.

So I don't see the connection to advertising Ron Paul. None of those fit. He is using blatent favoritism in his promotion. Yours is just subtle mockery with that video. I think I told you I read the whole dictionary my senior cause school sucked.

i said political advertising, which need not always be paid. and no, not trying to say he is a plant.

I think before we march we should get a majority of states to accept medical mj first. Some states this year are even trying to legalize mj, CO and Washington I believe. Since Obama said he would target Cali two years ago if we tried to pass it I'm glad that other states are going to go for all the federal attention this year. It takes the spotlight away from our gardens, and puts it in their backyards.

Imo marijuana should never be legalized. Legalizing changes everything. Big industry growing and government taxing/regulating would kill it. They should stop flying helicopters with infrared and kicking in doors over it. "Not worth borrowing money from China" as Mitt Romney would say
