What Wattage Super HPS Light Do I Need?

My grow room is 3.5' x 3.5' x 8', which is about 12 square feet, and about 100 cubic feet. My plan is to grow about nine (9) indica plants in there using the "Sea of Green" (SOG) method. I plan to use a super HPS light throughout vegging and flowering.

Do I need a 400 watt light or a 600 watt light?

I would say at least a 600w. What's your ventilation like? If you have a good air cooled system you might even go for the 1000 with that much space.

your area is a little too small for a 1000 watt light (about 12,000 lumens per square foot). great space for a 600 watt light
