Does anyone have any guidelines or a guide or tips to prevent bugs? I believe preventative maintanence is the best way to prevent bugs from ever appearing. I am thinking spray the room down with a bleach solution before anything is ever setup, then lay some sort of material lining the entire room.

What about using soil? Say even foxfarm i've heard can get spidermites. i can lay the soil out on a tarp and add something to it, but what coudl i add to prevent spidermites/other bugs? I hear maybe microwaving the dirt, but that would take quite a while, but if i was to go this route of microwaving, how long should i microwave for?

Any one have any tips or recomendations for preventative actions to stop any bugs before they arise?

or any good products that help stop bugs from ever appearing in the first place?

The grow room is like a nirvana for pests, perfect temperature, humidity and lots of food to eat.

Two of the primary reasons pests come into your garden are smell and light leaks.

Smell: Pests are attracted to the odor given off by sick plants. Keep them healthy and use a carbon filter to eliminate smell.
Light: light leaks through intake air vents are where most pests get in to your garden. No light leaks period, put a nylon stocking over intake vents.

If they can't smell it, and can't see it, then they won't get in there.
