Hey guys and girls.

Currently on my second grow (white rhino) and was looking into what strain i should try next. The "problem" is though after looking on various seed banks i have no clue what i should look for.

So wondering if you could shed some light on different strains and thier properties. I know its somewhat of a loaded question and very subjective, but just some general tips.

For example indica give you the couchlock high whilst sativa gives you the high high.

Any other tips or tricks about strains?

For example whats the deal with skunk and haze? I have noticed alot of strains are variation of the name but cant seem to find any info on them.

At the moment im thinking of Super Lemon Haze as it is truly amazing, but open to suggestion.

Some guidlines i guess i should mention are:
Growing indoors (by the time i get my seeds though it will be summer so might still grow outdoors)
Room is not an issue
Smell is not an issue
Price IS an issue. No $100000000 per seed strains please :P

Thanks for the help!

I quit smoking quite a while ago, but from what buddys say, for a knock you on your ass high, try hempstar. But its mid level type production. If you want a good mix of production and quality, serious seeds Chronic produces great, and the finished product looks and smells nice, and is pretty potent. Theres a local strain arround bc, its a orangebud/ northren lights cross, also great production, and very potent, but not in any seed banks that I know of. There is actually a strain called couchlock ,that my friend grows, smells like grape candy, really high quality, but mid level production again. I would say the nicest looking pot I have ever seen is shivaskunk, Its a skunk#1/ Northren lights cross,And pretty high producing. Pure afgani is pretty deadly too, very high quality, great smelling/ looking shit, mid to high production high producing. Go to vancouver seed bank. They dont ship to the US, but with a little research of the breeders you can get them directly from the source usually. The ones I named are all very high quality, solid genetics, that you cant go wrong with, although I tend to lean more towards the production side, so i like mostly indicas, as they finish faster, and are easier to grow, also usually produce heavier.

I prefer a sea of green method, 3 gal pots, packed as close together as you can, with 1000w over the canopy about 2 feet. Fill that area up to the max, it all adds up. So I ask you, what are you looking for in a strain, and what method do you plan on using?

Hello,First you left out one important thing-indicas average 8 to 11 weeks nugging-sativas are 12 to 18 weeks nugging.so how quick winter arrives where you want to grow has a lot to do with it .your save bet is a indica or indica blend.I my self will suggest strains from K.C brains.most there are developed for out doors.I love there strains.T>N>R is a favorite ,its thai a great thai. Its been crossed with a brazilian sativa so the nugging time is way shorter.thai itself can take up to mid december to finnish ,this one finnishs -end sept, early october. This year im going with the special afghan as my main strain -fast grower, some spontanica, white kc,brains choice and of course t.n.r.Oh well I could go on and on,but start here you be happy.Plus kc brains seeds are not that much and availible from most seed dealers.hope this helps a bit --enjoy frank

O wow few names dropped there ill have to look into them all. Should probably mention im not actually in the US though, im in Australia ;)

As for times/yield, im no delaer its just for personal use, so quality over quantity every time :D

As for what im looking for?.....really donno to be honest. Ive only this year really got into my strains and would just smoke any old crap i could get a hold of before so i don't really have the experience to judge whats good or bad. Basically just going on what you guys say. If strain X made you trip out and feel like shit then obviously dont want to get it. If however you say strain y gave you a couchlock for a full day, then i would be very interested in it :D I tend to use weed to help get to sleep more than anything so i guess indica is more what im after? That said a few strains to make me just giddy wouldnt hurt either :D

Method is indoors under flueros for now, however im getting a MH in a few weeks :D In summer if i have some clones ready i might plant them outside to see how they go, as after reading another thread about potency THC seems to be a response to UV so our harsh Aussie sun should make them frosty as hell :D

SO FAR:
Hemster
Serious Seeds Chronic
Local stuff which wont be open to me :(
couchlock
shivaskunk
Afgani
Thai
Special Afghan
Spontanica
White Kc
T.N.R
