What soil do you use?

The title pretty much says it all. I'm currently using Expert Gardner Organic Mix and I think the nutes are burning my babies. I looked everywhere- wal mart, lowes, menards, home depot to find soil without nutes already in it and I failed. Perhaps because its the middle of winter? I dunno, I'm just wondering what kind of soil you guys use and where you got it. I know fox farm ocean forest is popular, I might just suck it up and order some for my next grow despite it's high price since this isn't workin so well.

i went to the local plant nursery and got some locally bagged professional planting mix... basically some really good dirt for gardening (no nutes)... big box stores don't carry that great of soil from my experience... good luck!

we may be facing the same prob. in the wionterhere I have the same stuff stocked in my local stores. I gave up and used MG potting soil. Yeah it sux, same prob as you, it burns the leaves, but after a few flushes, everything straightened out (for the most part, I lost 2 plants out of 20, due to nute burn). If that's all you can get, use it, nothing else, flush it 1 week after potting seedlings, use just water( your average time for water here is 2-3 weeks, but because of these crappy soil mixes, I went 3 weeks before I started to use my own ferts and nutes. I am currently in my 18th day of flowering, and except for my miracle gro soil-bug-infestation problem (Gnats are in the soil mixture, what a pleasant surprise THAT was!) and the loss of the 2, nothing is amiss with using that typr of stuff. But, to each his own.
