The dimensions of my closet are:

L- 55.25" (4.6 ft)
H- 96" (8 ft)
W- 26.75"(2.23 ft)

I'll be using either a 400 or 600 watt light, and i need to know what size fan to buy for each. Any ideas?

LOL.... same dimensions as the closet I got to grow in... it's not set up yet, but will be soon !

Your closet is roughly 96 cubic feet... you have to find a fan that sucks out that air at least 15-20 times per hour.

If you get a fan rated at 100 CFM (cubic feet per MINUTE) you'll be exchanging the air in your closet over 60 times per hour. Hope that helps.

are you trying to cool the light or just move some air? if you want to cool the air and the light, and you plan on using a filter and a 600 go with a good 6" fan rated for 400 cfm or more and get a speed control for a few bucks more and you will be good to go. i cooled a 4x2x4.5 high cab with a 400hps and 120 watts of cfl with a 6 " duct fan from home depot but that was before it got hot out . had to get a better fan (425 cfm) once the temps got to 75f outside, thats why i say go with the 400cfm or better.

to cool the light. you're probably right. i should go with the 600 and the 6". 400 would be less than 50 watts per sq foot anyway.

over 60 times per hour sounds great, right? isn't the minimum once every 5 minutes?
That number is for ventilation/circulation of the stale air inside the closet. If you're looking to COOL the room, then what SixString said is right. The more CFM's the better....

Hi all.Quick question...

Will a 245 m3/h inline fan with a 1 foot DIY Carbon Filter attached be sufficient to clear the air every 5mins
in a 4x2x4 closet. My head is wrecked trying to figure it out!

Thanks
