What size fan and filter for?

Hey everyone, a couple of questions for my grow room.
1st my flower room is 1300 cu. ft. what size carbon filter and fan. I want to vent up a 4" pvc pipe that goes up and out the roof approx. 28' straight up from the bsmt.

Is it ok to go from a 6" or 8" and reduce down to the 4"? Also I will need to have one 45 deg. elbow.

If anyone can help please respond..Thanks

no good!ur gonna cut down air flow drastically, when u reduce ur air ducting to 4in pvc??? frm 6 or 8in., in addition to the more angles u use the more ur air flow will be reduced! dont know the thread but their r posts here about how to properly vent, in addition to "george cervantes mj bible" (a must have). I would reduce all angles AS MUCH AS POSS! in addition to no reducing my 8in or 6n ducting to 4in pvc??? Hope that Helps

No that doesn't help..I've sized a can filter 66 with a 412 cfm in-line fan for that size room. Question now is will it push the air up a 4" vent pipe 28' with (1) 45 deg. elbow? Any HVAC guys feel free to answer.

His advice is right on, I just don't think you want to hear that. You can't force air from a 6" 412cfm inline up 30 foot of 4" pvc. It doesn't work like that. Maybe try a 4" fan with a scrubber, still probably won't work with that far to go out and up.

ya common case of the not wanting to hear the answer to your question.

in fact he answered your question pretty well.

and to answer your new refurbished (still weak) question why don't you hook it up and try it... lol I think it blaringly obvious that it will work

reducing the pipe size will increase pressure and reduce the cfm the fan will actually be able to move add the filter and 28 feet of tubing a 45degree bend and your not going to have much flow at all bro.
