what r advantages of digital ballast

i'd like to know the pro's and con's of digital ballast.any help??

as far as i know it saves alot of money in energy costs, more efficent and i spose more safe

yeah that's the main one but they also can run either a HPS OR MH bulb so you only need one ballast if wanted to use both.
There is one major disadvantage though, a bad one can cause major radio interference, enough to disturb even a neighbor and be detected by narcs.
