What nutes do you use?

Hey Guys

I have seen a lot of negatives around about Miracle Grow... but not too many recommendations in the threads that I have read.

I was using Miracle Grow tomato at 18 21 18- but I was told to switch to something else with a more 5:2:3 ratio.

So I found some Vigoro with 24 8 16 npk... but ever since I added those nutes my plants arent looking great. I am thinking it is a Phosphorus problem ... anways what nutes do you use? where can you get them?

Thanks for the help

All that commercial stuff you get at walmart or home depot is not made for mj. You need to go to a hydro store or shop online for specific nutes for our beloved Mary Jane :)

General Hydroponics 3 part flora series here. It comes with thorough charts, and even a customizable, printable chart based upon your grow parameters on their website. Relatively cheap, and they don't use organic materials which means theoretically they don't break down over time.

I'll be starting my first grow (from clones) tomorrow

here's what I'll be using:

CANNA Terra Vega

then for flowering:

CANNA Terra Flores
CANNA PK 13-14
and a little bit of molasses

I was going to use Miracel Grow All Purpose Plant Food but instead I decided to go organic (well, I still have them in MG time released nute soil). The soil workes great for me and I used Vigoro brand blood meal for veg. and using bone meal and molasses for flowering. I am growing under CFLs and the nutes are making the plants explode, they love the organic stuff. I will always recommend good old organic..

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I went to another nursery yesterday and they didnt have the general hydroponics... but they did have FoxFarm nutrients which another dude used when he grew the same hindu kush that I am growing now. I have one more place I can look but it looks like I will be trying the FoxFarm - maybe just until I get the general hydroponics but I need something TODAY.

Some of the bottom leaves are turing yellow, wiliting and curling. THere are a few other leaves that are starting to have a dark green/purple color to them on the edge of the leaves. I dont think they are getting enough nutes... but the PH is right around 5.6 or so - I know I should be closer to 6 but I figured I am not that far off. Thinking it is a phosphorus deficiency.

Foxfarm seems to be working great! Since starting them about 1.5 weeks ago the plants have done very very well. Much healthier looking. Right now using Big Grow, and will also use Tiger Bloom and one other when they are flowering. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Thanks Bigben. Are those the size of the plants in the pic that you are flowering? How tall are they? Looks like you got a decent return for having smaller plants. My plants are about 19 inches tall so hopefully I will get a good return. Thanks for the MG suggestion.
