20 L ~ 5GA
I use 5" bucket lids but only put in 16L or 4GA of nutrients and have great success... I have used 3" net cups before and grown the girls out 5' tall so long story short get whatever size you want I'd go with a bucket lid if I was using buckets but if your building your own 3.5"-4" net cup (8.89 cm)
