What makes it a "Kush"

I was wondering, what qualities make a plant a kush. There are sativa and indica kush's out there, and was curious to find out the actual meaning.

i just found that article a few days ago and from what i read and understand it seems like it.

Hmm, never grown straight hindu kush, maybe i'll try!

they originate from the hindu kush mountains

yes, and i have no cuttings and my buddy dumped the mother.

fuck!, harvestm, regenerate, and take a clone?

Not to go off topic, but what happens with that clone that you have taken from a re-veg. I always hear about problems with re-veg. Is the clone as good as if you had taken it before flowering?

I read an article in High Times that said there are no Kush genetics in the O.G. Kush. Anyone heard anything about this?
