what light for my grow box

Hi,

I am making a grow box out of a file cabinet that is 42"tall 42"wide and 19"deep. What type of light would you guys recomed recomend for a grow box that size. Would a 250w HPS be sufficent?

The 250 hps should be fine just make sure you vent and cool that mutha or youll have some serious heat issues. cheers!

cool. Yah I was planning on having an exhaust fan at the top with carbon filter and two intakes at the bottom.

Any barnd of light you guys can recomend. Found this one

I have pretty close dimensions with a 400w in there... Could fit a few if you flower early. I just have 1 big one.

I got a 600 HPS in a cool tube in a tent... 36"x20"60"... temps stay around 75F.... light is 10" from the tops....

ok thanks. think i might go with a 400watt and have something simmilar to gypsybush's set up to keep it cool. What kind fan do you have on your cool tube?

I have a centrifugal fan rated at 170 CFM...

I think I will go with the super sun 2 hood and a 430watt hps agro bulb, cooled by a 6"fan. I read that the son agro has the blue spectrum found in mh bulbs, so you only need one instead of both hps and mh. Has anyone used them?
