A good premium soil mixed at a 50-50 ratio with perlite or pro-mix (my fav.)..never pre-nuted soils..you control food..easy up if not enough...f*****g hard down if too much...Ive recently given up trying hydro and am planning on going with good ol'
soil. Does anyone know what to look for in a soil and can I get anything good from say Home Depot or Walmart? Any advise is apprecieated.
Thanks for the suggestion. So promix is close to neutral and has no nutes? Also can I use hydro nutes on potted plants? I already have flora nova grow and bloom. I also have something called bush master. are these ok to use with pro mix?I use "Promix" that contains sphagnum peat moss, perlite, limestone and a wetting agent, no nutes (add your own). You can get it at any place that has a garden centre.
Jonnie Iirish,You can also try the new live soil HAPPY FROG FROM FOXFARM it has all the trace elements in it and you can put your choice of main fertilizers (3D organics OG series) best that I have found out personally.
Pro-Mix used by itself has no nutrients other than enough for a couple of weeks after germinating . It is PH treated as well . I love it . I root in it and mix it with my soil and worm castings for my grows .I use "Promix" that contains sphagnum peat moss, perlite, limestone and a wetting agent, no nutes (add your own). You can get it at any place that has a garden centre.
