What is the best soil to start growing with??

depends on what your local indoor store has and what style of grow you are into. most prefer foxfarm ocean forrest but i find it a bit hot. roots organics is unreliable. roots 707 has wetting agents. i like black gold omri as it is neutral. you can always get reusable coco. or even find recipes here for super soil if you want a soil that has it all. good luck

agreed, FFOF is a bit hot for younger plants, if you're using it for that I recommend essentially flushing it before using it. It will pull some of the nutrients with it, dropping to a tolerable level. Or mix it with something neutral.
