What does inside of a dud seed look like?

Are MJ seeds naturally soft inside or like beans and etc.. when raw/dry they are hard? because I was fed up of a seed not germinating I opened it up it was soft inside but the inside looked more like glassy/white texture not sure if it was alive or dead but w.e.
It's been about close to 7 days.

Do not use distilled water to pop beans!
Distilled has no dissolved oxygen in the water and it will "drown" the bean!

In Solo cups with 4 small holes in the side at the bottom.
Plant your seed in PRE - Watered soil 1/8th of an inch deep and cover. The soil should be "wet" not dripping!
Take a plastic bag and put it over the cup to "form" a cone and put a rubber band around it.
Place under your lighting and don't fool with it till you see a plant poking out the soil.
Remove "cone" of plastic and begin to learn all the other mistakes you might make -

Give it 10 days to 2 weeks before sweating it!
