Is 86F too hot for my plants. I have really good ventilation with a 6" vortex sucking the air out of the tent through the hood too cool the 2x600w hps bulbs. There is a also a 4" can fan sucking the air out of the tents, and 2 oscillating fans. 83-86 is the best I can keep it with both lights on, with one it can stay 73. Any thoughts I dont want to stress the plants :-?

86 deg should be stressing your plants that much. i was watching jorge cervantes' ultimate grow dvd and he recommends between 65-85 deg F. i dont think 1 deg F is going to kill you man

Honestly, you can grow but up to 90 f. They can just get a little stressed. I had to do a grow last summer and the temp Never got below 80 even at darkcycle and they still produced an hp between 6 plants. In short, You'll be ok at 83 but you could drop it.
