What do red stems mean?

My room doesn't get too chilly at night and I have red stems. My temps stay pretty high, usually high 80's during the day and mid to low 80's at night. but it's my first grow so I had some problems lol.

Yeah possible it's the temperature. Another reason for red stems that often is listed is phosphor deficiency, especially if the veins are red too. But if u give enough phoshpor then its probably the temps.

I'm no expert, but I doubt its a phosphor deficiency. I'm using fairly high phosphor nutes during flowering (I'm 22 days in) and my plants all look the same way. Mine are also in the house and the temperature does not get below 70 at night (it's in the mid to upper 80's during the day in my grow closet due to the 600 watt HPS lamp).

I'm curious as to the cause myself, but I'm not overly concerned at this point because other than that the plants look VERY healthy and the buds are growing amazingly fast. Does anyone know, can a nitrogen deficiency cause this? I know most people don't use much nitrogen during flowering (which I just discovered is a HUGE mistake!). Maybe that contributes to it???

Indica strains show red on stems or red leaf stems, sporatiticlly, throughout plant, even seedlings sometimes show. Other than that looks good .
Outstanding dude!!!!! My girls appear to be predominantly Indica (I have no clue about the strain because they were grown from bagseeds from some good mids) so that would explain things. +rep!
