what degree of shade cloth should i use?

hey can anyone help me out? where i live its been getting around 96 degrees during the hottest part of the day, so i bought some shade cloth to cover my babies. all the store had was 50% strength, so it blocks 50% of sunlight. i'm wondering if that is too much because i want to make sure they are getting enough light.

i wouldnt use anything blockin more than like 15% of the light...

u live in sac? do u cover yours at all?

I use the stuff from Home Depot & it works great. I don't know what % it is.

yes and yes... i use the burlap shade cloth that they sale at home depot. whenever its over 85 degrees i got it up.
