What CFM for......?

hi all, what cfm would you say i need for a (6x8 room) --- 6'carbon filter -air cooled relector and 1.5meter of duct? cheers

You only have the length and width listed for your room. You need to list
the height.
Let's say you have an eight foot ceiling. That would mean you have 384
cubic feet in your room.
You should be exchanging the air in the room at least 1 time per minute.
So you'll need at least a rating of 384 Cfm's for your blower.

Wow! Really? I thought exchanging the air in the room once every five minutes was a good rule of thumb. Once a minute you'll have a freaking gale blowing through there, won't you?

thanks for the replys, yes it is a 8ft celing, but doesnt the duct, carbon filter and air cooled reflector mix those numbers up abit as its extra resistance ?

i have a 6' inline working in the room, but its far to loud, sounds like a jet, just wondering what cfm i really need ?

put your 6" inline on a dimmer and reduce the power to about 75% it will drastically reduce the volume of the fan. and yeah more like 3 to 5 minutes for turn over of the rooms air

thanks, going to have to, i thought i had every angle covered, good intake out take ect, £100s spent on gear, and this when i turned the fan on!! i thougtht FUCK!!!!
