Any bud ive kept around for more than a couple years starts to get that faded/brown color. But good weed gets better with time even though it might look like its getting worse.Normally brown weed means sun cured and you don't see a lot of that anymore, Mexican brick would be an example. But in this case since the leafs are still green I would agree with Joe, that its the genetics and very old.
No "bad" odor. The smell and taste are a bit off but I cant say it was nasty when I smoked it, just smelled, tasted, & looked a bit off. I am a first time grower and my first plant is almost ready to harvest im about two weeks. I DO NOT want mine turning out like this. That was my reason for asking if this was basically "grower error" in drying and/or curing.it looks like the result of an anaerobic cure...just like brick weed. I did it once to try and the weed went nasty. It was fine, just not my forte. It was a really mild smoke and tasted more like a cigarette rolled with shit, but some like it that way...not this guy. Does it smell musty, earthy and have a slight ammonia odor to it?

Youve had lime green buds that are over 2 years old? I have found even with a correct dry/cure they still turn color as the years pass.if you cure right, it will never happen

Not after 2 years, lol. It will still go brownish over time too. Maybe for 9 months...and not bright green, but not brown. 2 yrs...brown. I don't think I said bright green, but it NEVER looks like brick weed...it looks like cartel weed...for the bossesYouve had lime green buds that are over 2 years old? Probably didn’t start as brick weed, which this kind of looks like, certainly not we call bag appeal. But there are sleepers out there. Can’t judge a weed by the cover. Not after 2 years, lol. Some of the best smelling/tasting shit i ever had was brown and out of a vacuum sealed brick (not compressed like mexican schwag). It was looking at poop but smelling fermenting pineapples and mangos.Probably didn’t start as brick weed, which this kind of looks like, certainly not we call bag appeal.
