some of my plants are falling over they are only 2-4 inches tall. i did let the plants stretch because my original set up had lights way to far away. since i have moved the lights closer the leaves have been only part growing but it seems the bigger the leaves get the more they are falling over. and they are not falling towered the light some have fallen away from light and some towards it. either way they are using outside of cups to support themselves.

other info:
-its my first grow
-i have been watering about every 4 or 5 days(when dirt is dry on top)
-im using scotts organic dirt
-no fertilizers(haven't figured this part out yet.)

OK a few comments...
I don't grow in soil but the soil in the pic looks awfully wet.
I would transplant into a much bigger pot and bury the stem up to the leaves in soil.
If you don't want to do that, you'll have to support it with something like you would a tomato plant.

A circulation fan as well as gently bending the stems back and forth (be careful not to break them) should help strengthen stems.

thats a simple fix mate... just fill that cup up to the top with soil, gently surrounding the stem evenly so that it will stand erect in the middle of the cup...

in a couple weeks roots will even be growing form the burried stem, so don't worry about it too much =]

thanks i will fill it up. the dirt is really wet i just watered them this morning in that pic. i have bigger pots im just trying to grow them for a bit in these cups. before i transplant them. to their final homes.
