Week 9 flower - Pots retaining Water

So I'm in week 9 flower and everything has been going well up until recentely. It's been 6 days since last water and the plants seem to have dramatically slowed down on drinking water.

The smell has gone down a pretty decent amount from where it was when they were drinking normally.

Just find it odd they would slow down on watering. I can literally scrape the top and about an inch down it's pretty a pretty solid wet composure.

PLEASE HELP! I'm getting anxious to chop these girls and wondering if I need to go a few more weeks to let them get back to eating normally.

TIA!! :peace::peace::peace:

Pics please. But could be she is past the chopping stage.
I'll submit some pictures this evening when the lights come on however, I don't think it's past the chopping stage being that I still have some wispy white hairs on there though a lot of the hairs ARE brown.

Also, while keeping an eye on the trichomes, not many are Amber.

Thanks!

Plants drink much less at the end. I'd guess you didnt know this and watered them again when they dodnt need it yet and that slowed them down even more. Just let them totally dry before you water them again. It may also just be time to harvest an be done with it

Take a bamboo barbecue skewer and really pierce the medium everywhere. Especially directly through that hardened root mass under the plant. Make sure you do it all the way to the bottom of the container. Do not water again until you see not only the leaf drooping but the stem it’s on as well. You’ll get a brief whiff of your finished bud when you get under the plant. This will not hurt the plant. Make sure air is moving especially over the canopy to help with transpiration.

I dont reccomend stem droop on flowering plants but that's the only point I dont agree with. Imo stem droop happens much later in flowering plants than vegging ones, a little leaf droop should be plenty

I only say stem droop for those obviously prone to overwatering. It’s preferable to soaked medium. Experienced growers can usually tell the difference if droop is from needing water or because high RH is impeding transpiration and the water causing the droop - not because of a need for water. When droop is from high RH and they water they’re back on here reporting it didn’t help.

Not to sound too weird but I was hoping you would comment here lol

Thanks for the sound advice! I've been poking them with a moisture meter recently from another thread you mentioned the same, but not to the extent you mention here. Will give it a try.

Thx you sir!
