weed germinated white sprout facing down or up?

Hey guys i have been doing research all over the web and it seems that the placing the sprout up or down seems to be a different story every place. can someone please tell me forme xperience what works best?

when germinating the seed? It doesn't matter which way you place the seed....

when planting the seed, once the seed has fully germinated (meaning just that, the seed has cracked open.. and has its tap-root (the pointy end of the root) showing)... I personally always plant it with the taproot facing downwards into the soil. It's never failed me for the past 4.7 years I've been growing.. so I keep with that.

I lay the seed so that the tap root is side ways because I don't want to damage it. Works well for me. Really though it doesn't matter as it will grow downward any ways.

Roots grow down, no matter which direction you place the seed. It's called gravitropism.

facing down...why would u want a tap root getting bashed by light..always down ..JMO
