way to mount fan

whats a good way to mount my 6" inline exhaust fan to the ceiling. i have studs and i know where they are.

just looking for that good moethod to hang it up..

just a eye hole screw into the stud. Then uses the mounting brackings the inline came with and hang with string. I just black straps, those for sleeping bags and such. They are strong and black.

lol really thats a good enough idea ... hang a pair of eye lags into the studs and hang the fan via some shoelaces or any other string / twine that will hold its weight. and by using something like a shoelace or twine the vibration isnt transfered to the ceiling making it a lot quieter than hard mounting it with clamps or solid straps

dont want a fan falling and starting a fire serious stuff here, id say even secure a piece of wood to your ceiling first with nails and screws then put some hooks into actual ceiling through that wood for double safety and always double up on ropes. two seperate ropes or chains for each device. imagine your place burning up for not wasting that extra few bucks

take a 2x4, 16-24 inches long. Screw it to the joist. Screw the fan to the 2x4
