What causes shiny looking leaves? I’m in veg using metal halides about 5 feet away from plants. Some of the leaves look waxy/ shiny. I thought it was the silica I was feeding them, but it happens to my plants in coco. 58162A58-4AD6-4B37-9BAD-4B449957F167.png

the only time ive ever seen shine like that was from slug trails, some managed to climb uop my pots . i now use copper wire wrapped around the pots, it gives them an electric shock when there salty body's come into contact with it

This happens every time indoors. There are no bugs.

Raise up your light, u want the fan leaves reaching for the light... Not pointing to the ground... Hope this helps..

well thats a sign of too much light. have to wait for another grower to chime in, im all out of ideas sorry

Then it is most likely sunburn or windburn. Rapid excess evaporation causes oils and sugars to coat the leaves for protection.

one example of shiney leaves {titaled} was a P deff, the leaves wernt shiney like they were coated with something like tho OP has shown, but were classed as shiney. could thids be the reason?
