watts per plant?

how many cfl watts do you think is enough for one plant? i just woke up to find 2 males out of 9 plants but still 7 plants is alot of cfls. wake and bake!!:bigjoint:

nice 7 girls right? thats good were did you get your beaners from? I diont have an answer for ya except my mothers are on t5's at about 50 watts per plant.

im not to much of a expert in the cfl department but i do know a plant needs 50W per square foot and 3000 lumens minimum per square foot. So just do a lil math with the grow area you have and the bulb and things will fit into place. Hopw this helps.

i just did the math and figured out i have 394 watts of 5600k and 3000k on 9 plants. damn i thought i only had 7. i dont know how i could forget that

How tall are your plants? If you only have a couple of cfls sitting above each plant, you won't get much light down to the bottom or insides of the canopy.
