i am a virgin grower im only trying to grow 1-2 plants before my newborn arrives my ? is i have a totall of 60 watts cfl lights what should i up it to my local hardware store dont sell high watt cfls can i get a bunch of smaller ones or is that not a good idea once again im not trying to grow alot just enough for perssonal use in addition if been reading about the different cfls to get during the veg and flower stage how to i find out what spectrum they give off my hardware store only carries warm white cfls thanx again

You're gonna want about 100 watts for each plant, but placement plays a big part also. You want 6500k CFL's for veg, and 2700k for flower.

u say 6500k cfls how do i determine that it only tells me the watts what am i looking for thanks 4 the help

I don't really pay attention to the kelvin (k) of the CFLs I grow with and my grows turn out amazing (I think its overrated). It is ok to use a bunch of smaller watt CFLs, just keep them within one inch of the plant (but not touching, it won't burn as long as it isn't touching). Placement is important, get a couple of the CFLs over the plant and a few of them around the sides. Make sure you get a few good reflecting ballasts to use all of your light. Good luck..
