Hey, wondering if any issue watering my promix with left out water?

My minisplit ac takes ton of water out of the room. The water has 0 ppm and 7.0 ph. But by the time i use it the temp is at 76° . Doesnt smell bad but curious if water temp is too warm?

I add nutes abd adjust ph but the temp is what scares me alittle.

If it's soil, no probs. Unless that shit is boiling hot.

If you leave "out" water to remove unwanted chems from the tap. It would help the water to put an air stone in it.
The 02 in the water reduces as it sits. 02 to the roots is a good thing!
The temp is a non issue at that level.

If you're concerned throw a frozen 2L pop bottle in the bucket for an hour before watering. Should cool it down a few degrees.

Keep an eye on it you, don't want to be dealing with the opposite problem of it getting too cold :) :)

I have done hydro for 2 yrs now and i know algea and other issues... hate to say it but ita huge role on why i am using promix now.

So to clearify, the water is about 30 gallons that is off my air conditioner. So it is not tap water. Its essentially RO water but it sits out and temp gets to 75-76° by the time i use it. I dont want to use an air stone cause it raises the temp of water and i dont want the hassle.

I dont have a sump pump draining water outside yet so i use my 30 gallon bucket and i figured since its RO water why not use it to feed theM.

I think using a/c water and dehumidifier water is just really damn lazy. Would you drink that shit? If you wouldnt drink it , I wouldnt give it to the plants.

I also use 2xl air stones in my 35gal tote water container.

ive read lots of people use a/c and dehumidifier h20.

Lazy is wayyy off base. I have 16 light place an doing a second 16 light as we speak. There is not a chance in hell i would drink my rez water from hydro. Why would i here?

Anyways, back in topic. Ac or dehumid. Water is just RO water. Its moisture in the air that hits a cold coil and water drips into a tube or bucket. Therefore the air you breathe is what im feeding them.

My question wasnt in regards to the water being safe but is the water safe AFTER sitting for few days and 76°. My bluelab shows 0 ppm and a 7.0 ph... i am used to hydro where my temp are 67° solid with a chiller and began running into brownish roots which the h202 helped for fresh roots then i get brown again. So starting with promix.

30 gallon pail of water gets heavy to empty when i could just feed it them... if its no good ill use my tap water and get a sump pump to drain ac water outside

Nothing wrong with using tap water as long as you sit it out 24 hours. I suppose this 24 hour rule only applies when you're growing organically, since chlorine in tap water can compromise the microbiology in the soil.

lol your question isnt whether the waters safe, but is the water safe." lol I'll say no again. Water gets slimey after a few days, if you had an air stone keeping the water oxygenated thats a diff story. Yet again, would you drink the slimey water?

Shouldn't be a problem friend. I buy my water in big water cooler jugs. It sits until it gets used. Sometimes 2 weeks if my plants aren't drinking lots. I have had zero issues in 2 years. No idea the temps but I've had no ill effects, it sits in a room that's 20-25 degrees Celsius so it may be a couple degrees cooler? don't know for sure.

A/C water is safe for plants for sure, and it would be safe for human consumption if they used food grade materials. Water dripping off a copper tube is really no different then how our water gets distributed in our house, the issue with AC water for human consumption is the leaching from plastics and mold spores that can grow inside the Unit itself, if you keep your unit clean there is absolutely no reason not to use it for plants. Wish I had the option, my new A/C evaporates instead of drips, so I spend $5 a week roughly on 5 gallons of water.

Wouldnt it be more convenient and cheaper to get a water purifier? jw

My tap water would destroy an in home system in a few months, my water tested at 870 ppm or some shit when I had the water guy here, not sure what it tests at after the softener was installed. Our water in this area is retarded and I don't trust it's not filled with fluoride and all sorts of other nasty shit. I'd much rather use A/C water then the shit the city pumps in, if I had the option I would.

I don't really mind paying a few dollars to know my water is clean. I use distilled from the grocery store, I'll use a tea every third watering to add some cal/mag (via EWC and Molasses and Kelp) into the soil so they don't show a deficiency. Sometimes the grocer doesn't have distilled so I get spring I've noticed no ill results with it either.

I battled bad tap water when I first started growing, messed up my plants quite bad, and that was with synthetics I'd hate to kill my soil with the tap water now that I'm organic.

Cool...once you started telling me about how bad the water was it reminded me of Dallas water. You have to chew it before you drink it lol tons of floaties in it and it smells horrible. Its been recycled 4-5 times:::shudders:::

Diabolic- i have no problem using my tap as its about 200ppm. Using tap or ac water doesnt bother me one bit. Was just curious since its already in my feeding bucket is i could use it lol. Rather than dump it then refill it.

Thanks for replies i have been using it for week or so now an seem happy but thats like 3 feedings so was just checking.

Also, had no idea tap water could legally be so high. Thats gross man. Albiet bottled water is wikid exspensive there compared to here.

Pics are start week 2 veg then start week 4 veg. They growing for sure.

the warmer your water is, the less air it'll have in it, cooler is better. more and more cities are getting away from chlorine, and using chloramine. this stuff does not dissipate.
