Watering soil containing vermiculite

I am on my second grow and last time I used miracle grow moisture control. This time I am using a mix of about 20% vermiculite and 80% miracle grow moisture control and the soil seems to dry up alot quicker.

Do I water more?

Is the water still getting to the plant?

yes water more, water when soil drys..

maybe outdoor temps are higher(summer) so more water would evaparate indoors.......
