Watering question +rep!

Hey so I have been kinda just watering my plants on a 2 day basis with what i assume is enough water, why I assume this is beyond me.

Anyways I have been growing from seed for about a month now (jock horror + ww) and have 4 plants. I am growing indoors in an organic light fertilizer soil and I am about to start up a nutrient schedule when my FF nutes arrive in the mail.

So to my question, I have my plants about 10" tall in 5 gallon pots, I have been giving them about 25oz of water every second day with ~50% RH in the room.

Is this a sufficient amount of water? I notice that no water is really leaking out of the soil..

Need advice to know when to water, my plants all look fine and healthy with the exception of one with a minor bit of nute burn, shes the bitch of the crew anyways

About 2-3 times a week. The soil should be dry at the bottom before watering again. You can also buy little meters that will tell you when you need to water to get rid of the guess work.

After the seed has been planted and the soil watered well, you don't need to water again for a few days.
The amount of water, and how often to water varies with the size of the pots and plants, and the amount of light.
Water once the top few inches of the soil dry out.
Sounds fine to me. And water runoff in bottom of pot is dependent on the composition of the soil.

Any chance of posting a picture or two?

And if they look fine and healthy to you, is there a reason you think you might not be giving them enough water?

water like a gardener, not a robot.

wat i do is figure the weight out and water accordingly to its needs apon that, it will need to be fed more and more as it grows so most likely ur method needs to change.

wait until the soil is almost completely dry, u can check this by pokin into the soil with ur finger a few inches deep and then in to the drainage holes in the bottom. then wen its at that point pick the pot up and feel the weight of it, study it almost.

then water til about 30% run-off from drainage ( have sumthint o catch that shit too!) make sure to spread the water (nutrient solution) around the soil and completely soak the soil, to prevent dry spots in the media.

after doin this a few times u will know the weight of the media and plant, and know wen to water apon that.

I will update my journal tomorrow with pics (Jack Horror/White Widow in tent), it is really nothing yet first pics go in tomorrow.

meaning, water enough to have about 30% of the volume(nutrient solution/water) u put in there is comes out the bottom. dont be afraid. lol.over watering is not due to putting TOO much in the pot, its putting in TOO often. then u get an over watered unhappy plant.
