Watering for Hempy Buckets

I'm in need of some practical and tested advice for watering using Hempy Buckets.
I'm trying to grow in a tent aprox. 3ft.x3ft.x6ft, using a 400MH,18/6 light schedule.
5 days ago I transplanted my new kids into Hempy Buckets (aprox size 11.5 L) using a mix of Pearlite, Vermiculite and styrofoam. I used a very light mix of nutes in the initial watering. When I initially watered, I watered until water started to come out and moved on to the next one. Just a few ounces of runoff came out of each bucket.
Today when I checked the medium for moisture, it was still rather damp after 5 days. Is this normal? Temps in the tent run from 64-78F and humidity between 42-56%. My light hangs 1ft. above my buckets.
The light reflector has a glass shield and an exhaust fan bolted on top to draw up the heat from under the reflector. I was thinking of removing the glass shield to maybe help raise temps, in hopes of drying things up a bit, but I definately don't want spider mites again. Even tho they didn't attack this strain on the last grow (they really loved the other strain), I don't want to really chance that. Should I set them outside in the warm sun for the next few days or will the sunshine stress them since they are adjusted to the artificial light?
Did I over water? I really need advice before I ruin everything again...
