I know that you aren't supposed to water everyday but my soil is dry in a day or 2. I have them in small pots right now and will transplant in another week, just wanted to make sure I wasn't gonna do any harm. I have a moisture tester and only water when it says to,

Yep, just use the moisture meter. You can also feel around with your hands, stick your finger down an inch or two, if it's dry... time to water. Most newbies to growing will over-water, not underwater.. so just lean on the side of being conservative. Generally when plants are "over-watered" this refers to the frequency in which they receive water, not the amount... so just pay close attention to how often your plants need the water (root building is done at a quicker rate when dry) and give them what they need. Then just wait again... it should be nice and dry when you give them another shower. Cheers!

Don't worry. It is very hard to kill a plant by over watering it. The best test is to actually touch the dirt and see if it i dry. If it so, go and water! Good luck! Let's see some pics.

I am with seedless with this one. Overwater is both easy to do and very likely to do damage from which your plants will not soon (if ever) recover. Take it from someone who almost lost his whole grow to over watering. It only took me a few days to almost destroy a great grow. In fact, they still have not recovered.

Water until water comes out of the drainage holes, then just water every other day.

Let me make this real simple. Here are three photos of the same grow. The first is from when I watered only when the plants absolutely needed water. As in the medium was dry all the way through and the water meter confirmed they were dry. The second is from 4 days of over watering (like twice). The final is the result after 2 weeks. I almost killed them all over watering...

The whole time I thought I had burnt them with nutes so I kept flushed 3 times. I may have burnt them some with nutes, but nothing compared to the damaged caused by over watering.

Hope this clears things up.

No it's not!!!! It is my example. Shit I am still pissed I did something so stupid!!! ;) I had a beautiful grow and now they are all but shot. I looked at the girls this morning and all I could do it say shit shit shit!!!!

Ok... maybe it is... I just want to do my part to make sure no one else does the same.

Folks, water when the meter say they are dry! Plants take up water at different rates at different times. If your plants are under watered they will tell you. Over watered, and you have a mess.

I am going to have to agree with the crew on this one. The main point of my earlier post was that it's very easy to hurt the plants badly by overwatering, and definitely not nearly as easy to hurt them by under-watering. Obviously with under-watering you will see signs, and you can water and they will bounce back quickly.

Plants have done just fine without water for extended periods, it's rather suprising. So be conservative, and make sure you don't always have the roots moist, as this is a huge problem for various reasons

over do most things and it is not good, but water to much and death or a very sick looking plant it will be,if you drank water none stop you would not feel to good either i know as i just had a piss test, but major killer of otherwise healthy plants ,is overkill with water,if anyone says different i would doubt they have had many succesful grows under their belt.,only my opinion ,but i think if you read up on it many others will say the same.

Videoman.. I just replanted and the soil was nasty!!! I went in this morning to take a look and the water meter still showed a 4. So, I figured fuck it... killing them anyhow. When I dumped the dirt these was visible mold! I cleaned away as much of the old soil as possible and replaced it with new soil mix.

Here are the pics of their current state. I will post again in a couple of days when (hopefully) the situation improves.
