Water/Soil Problems?

Hi, thank you in advance for taking a look at this. I've been having issues with this plant for awhile now. I'm using Fox Farms ocean forest mix, but for some reason, it has become hard as clay. I am waiting 2-3 days in between waterings, but when I go to water, water pools at the top and takes forever to drain down. I haven't been able to get this girl happy, she either is dying of thirst or, even when I give her the slightest amount of water, she curls up. I haven't seen the fan leaves at a good angle.

My question is, besides what should I do, should I try breaking up/aerating the soil? would that cause serious damage to the roots? I'm in week 5 of flower so I'm thinking maybe just let her be. Any advice is seriously appreciated. Thank you!

These pictures were taken 24 hours after her last moderate-sized watering:

It looks to me like they are very Hungary. What size pots are they in? Are they crazy root bound? Have you checked the ph?

What's the temp in your room?
73-77 F, color is from strain.

Could be that they are hungry, I've been very timid with feeding as I wanted to get her healthy before adding more chemicals, haven't been starving her though.

Potentially could be root bound, started them off in 5 Gal from seed and didn't transplant.

PH is 6.4 currently

Try raking the top of the soil as even my Promix HP gets a little hard on top after a while. Spraying the top with water a few minutes before watering helps too. Did you add any perlite to your FFOF before filling the pails? That helps a lot too.

:peace:
