hello people

have an urgent issue thats driving me nuts...thought if i posted my issue on here, if it proves to be a problem, will drive the 120 miles back home to sort...obviously dont want to do that hence the post...

in my mothering room i have a750lph pump feeding all my drippers...all the babies are in a tray roughly 2 inches deep..the inlet pipe is something like 22mm feeding the drippers, and it all drains away through a 15mm hose...on a 3min/day cycle..bout 25 plants total..its a big tray, maybe 4' x 2'

thing is,i was leaving today for a week and noticed a crack in my tank...the only other thing i had to use in a hurry was a 30 litre bucket...seemed fine, but when i got to my destination i have been stressing i messed up..

thing is, the hose draining the old 50 litre tank was high up, and the water simply poured out...on my new tank i placed the hose deep down in the bucket...which leads me to my URGENT question...

'with no water pressure to speak of, and the end of the hose deep in the bucket, will there be enough water pressure to drain away the water in the tray?'

i know its only 3min/day, and its got the rest of the 24 hours to drain back away.. but it is a strong pump and i live in an apartment so really dont want a flood on my hands...whilst i'm used to flood n drain in the main room, and my ladies drain back through the pump...but this is my mother room, will water drain through a simple hose the same way??? or will, as is suspect, water pressure back it up in the drain.

got 14 hours to decide if i need to go back to cut the hose to aid the drainage, any help gratefully recieved as a result.

Thanks in advance

Bob
