Ok here is the situation. First grow and i re potted my plants last week. When i re potted they were 19 days old and doing quite well. Since the re pot they have not grown at all . They look perfect no signs of stress. But i went ahead and bought one of those moisture meters and 1 week after re potting they are still moist. I checked the bag of soil that i used and its totally saturated. Found out place where g/f bought it from had the bags out side on pallets so its soaked. What do i do re pot with dryer soil? HELP i think the roots are suffocating or rotting.

By the way it's 2 plants and they are cinderella. They are now 25 days old.

do you have holes drilled in your container containing the plants? assumming they are in a bucket if you dont have holes at the bottom all extra water accumilates down there and leads to root rot. if you dont have the holes add them. depending on the strain the plant could still be in shock too depending on how you transplanted them. what i would do if you had enough room in your bucket is take some dry dirt and dig far away from the plants not to disturb the roots and remove the dirt that you dug up and add fresh dry dirt in the hole you dug. this will elimanate stress to the plant and it dries it up for you. if you want you can transplant but that leads to more stress

If they were my plants I would do the following:

Re-pot and just let them dry out and the roots will quickly stretch into that fresh dry soil. Its not unusual for transplanted plants to show little or no growth for a few days afterwards so dont worry. As said above add plenty of perlite to prevent this happening again, 30%/40% perlite is good for me some prefer less. Keep the root ball intact as said above, if its wet it will hold together anyway.

They will soon recover.

Hope this helps.

Thanks all for the help. Got a bag of perlite on way home and am going to re pot. Also no i don't have holes in pots. But the pots do have holes in them with a saucer on bottom that i can remove to allow drainage. Gotta say that this is alot of fun. Only other issue i had was some nute burn from splashing when watering but all good now . Off to repot my girls . Thanks again all
