Water curing with Kool-aid

ok so the other day i rembered me and my friends dipped some bud into kool-aid and then squeezed it so get all the liquid out let it dry for like 30 mins and smoked some cherry flavored bud now i was thinkin about water curing with kool-aid but only a test run at first do the regular 6 days of water curing than on the last day make a shitload of kool-aid and have the last day of cure be in kool-aid giving it some flavor but the thing is i dont know if the THC will break down with the components of the kool-aid or do all 7 days of water curing than when i take them out dip them in some kool-aid and than blow dry them with a hair dryer and see how it works but i will test this in some time from now when i have my next harvest will test it in several ways... but heres the other side to it i know that everything breakdown during water curing like all the bad shit and leaves nuttin but the good and from what i heard/read bud after water curing taste like plant so i kinda dont think the flavor will go into the bud but at the same time i do because of wat happend that day and i still dont know all the compounds of kool-aid and the affects on it to THC on the BUD period alot of research to do in the 3 and a half month period while my plant start to grow ill pots later one and see what happens but if anyone else wants to try this be my guest juss include my name in there when it hits the grow faq lol

The taste is tempting, but do this: take kool-aid powder and set it on fire. Smell it, or inhale if you dare. I don't think that you're going to want to smoke that. I could be wrong. I mean, we eat flaming marshmallows, so it's pretty close ... sugar and some other shit. But what is that "other shit" ?

but doesnt the powder in kool-aid dissolve in water like THC dissinigrates in fire??? look at all the chemicals in cigarrets people still smoke them look at beer we still drink it???? n there might be some food coloring in it im not sure but u cant even taste it u taste nuttin but the flavor of the kool-aid now wouldnt that be cool simply without genetics to alter the taste of ur bud without harming it into a variety of tastes at that

snorting it wouldn't be any worse for you than eating it really. the combustion products of it would not be good, however.

why do people want to mask the beautiful taste and or aroma that is cannabis? its such a great thing just the way it is!

I understand what you are saying......but the kool-aid thing isn't really that good of an idea. Have you tasted kool-aid with no sugar? YUK......and you wouldn't want to flush the bud with it b/c your trying to get rid of the bad things.

I would suggest maybe looking into other, more organic flavoring products....Flushing with apple juice gives a sweeter taste......

damn its like u guys aint readin the half of my post im not gunna smoke the powder imma smoke the fukkin flavor of the liquid that enter the bud during the cure im not gunna smoke the seeds imma smoke the buds but like i said i gotta test it juss think about it the powder dissolves into the LIQUID meaning there is no popwder left if properly stirred and why would i not wnat to add surgar to the kool-aid when water curing and who knows i might not even use it during the water cur i might probably juss dip it in at the end for a coupole of houra and see what happens but like i said i still have several tests and ideas that i think could work but until than i gotta wait

I'm just not sure how the sugar would react with the process.
I understand that you are dissolving the powder, but some of that shit is still in there!
Worth a shot....let me know how it goes but i would only test it with bud your willing to lose.

Found this on another thread.......also a thread on here said that if you use plain water with a mixture of flavoring (vanilla, mint, cherry ect.) extract and water your plant an hour before you harvest it will add flavor too.


This article is taken from an old timer growbook that i have and i thought i'd share it with you as it might be usefull to some.

"It is strongly advised that any flavourings be applied to only a sample,say a few joints worth.
Being stuck with a kilo of some drab flavor like avocado flavored weed may get to be a bit much,especialy in the bleakness of february.
Do only a bit at a time to see how you like it.

Most flavourings will fade away if exposed to air,so keep any flavoured cannabis in a tightly sealed jar,as a bag wont do.

Suggested flavourings

Bottled essences:
menthol,spearmint,vanilla,maple,peppermint,fruits. (smear some on to a cotton ball and put in the jar)

Real fruit:
lemon,lime,orange,grapefruit,apples.(use the peals only and put a little piece into jar)

Real flowers:
rose,lilas,fruit blossoms and other flowers.(put some in the jar)

Spices:
cinnamon,nutmeg,cloves,rosemary,camomille.(use a tea bag,cut a corner off and empty it and refill with spices and staple the corner and put in jar)

Spirits:
wine,port,sherry,wiskey.(smear some on to a cotton ball and put in the jar)


Flavouring mediums to avoid

When sugar burns,it burns hot and gives off a hot,black carbon smoke,to avoid a carbon smoke,it might be wise to stay clear of:

any soda pop,
maple syrup or sugar,
molasses,
Anything containing sugar."

This is what I was saying. You will have some koolaid in your bud, and some sugar. If it tastes like koolaid, it's because there's koolaid in it.

ok i see where u guys are coming from n it helps alot so during the 7 days of water curing do u think i should dump bud in some kool-aid thefirst day to try to get some flavor in there or should do it the last day but only for a lil while??? mann i dont even know this is gunna be some tough shit for me and i will be using like 4 grams wet of bud in each test and now that i think of it i have myabe 13-14 tests
