Hello. Been growing 11 months, autos only. Indoor/outdoor.

I decided to water cure a quart, here's how it's going.

Day 1: put fresh cut buds in jar, trimmed them by
pulling off the bigger leaves in buds. Rough trim.
Covered them with distilled water, careful to get as much air out as possible. Jar is left in cabinet and is about 69° constant and dark.

Day 2: water temp 68°, ppm 526, ph 6.0

Day 3: 69° ppm 547 ph 5.5

Day 4: 69° ppm 471 ph 5.8
Water is clearing up noticeably, jar smells sour and plantlike. Water tastes like biting banana peel with raw plant aftertaste.

Day 5: 69° ppm 370 ph 6.0
Smells like no chlorophyll. Taste same

Day 6: 69° ppm 149 ph 5.9
Water slight green tint, basically clearish

Day 7: 69° ppm 74 ph 6.0
Smell still sour, maybe clover scent. Water very clear, hardly noticeable tint. Tastes like banana peel.still.

I r/r the distilled water everyday around six pm

PPM dropped to 40. Buds look all trichomed up, sour weird smell, kinda reminds me of busting a milkweed stem

Ok folks. Ppm 36, dry time.
I would have preferred single tray but i had to put some dinky buds on lowest level. I added one empty tray on top for more air volume. Set it at 165° F, basically because someone else did in their vid. We'll see

Wow. Just looked in to see how buds were doing after 3 hours to find them very crispy. Sampled some before rehydrating. High as powerful as air cured part of same plant. Smell almost gone. Taste, sweet, very mellow and complex, but not overpowering. No expand. Hardly a cough on exhale. Pulled bong 45 minutes ago, nice and high.

Will do again. Will not dry it at 165°

Last pic water cure left,..... air, right same plant

I had to do this years ago when I had a finished plant tip over and got covered in soil..I changed the water daily after agitating the jar lightly.. after @ 7 days I dried on a line with a fan circulating the air..the smell and taste were completely gone but the stone was fully there

Smell sure is gone, flavor good but nothing like other buds.

I'm might try this option. I see you had the jar top on,
I'm thinking maybe leave it uncovered as long as the buds
are submerged? How did you dry the second time?

I’m kind of curious how the high compares to the same bud cured normally.

I felt it to be better, more intense and
a hell of alot smoother. I did end up curing
a few extra days longer just to clear the
water completely. I am also trying a fridge dry
now, but it's very slow. Pic of finished product.
