Water and Nutrience QUESTIONS?

hi, i am growing idoors for the first time, i bought seeds ofline and im waiting for them to arrive. I wanted to know a few things before they get here.
1. i am going to start the plants in rockwool then move them into a cup of soil then into a big pot.....does this sound ok? Can i just plant the rockwool directly into the soil?
2.watering is confusing me to much or to little is bad i know, i think i have the soil watering down but what about the rockwool? How wet do i keep it? And when i germ the seeds in a bag with a wet paper towel i put them in the dark right? And when i plant them is it beter to face the sprout down or up?
Any other tips that you think are worthy would be greatly appreciated! thx

Rockwool can be tricky if ur not used to it. I honestly wouldn't even bother with the rockwool in ur situation. I'd just germ the seed(s) like u said, IN A WARM DARK PLACE, CHECK DAILY then plant them SO THE TAPROOT IS FACING DOWN in the CUP which should have some drainage holes out the bottom.

... give it one good watering once u plant ur germed seed then back off it till the soil on top starts dryin out good then mist the top of the soil regularly to keep it moist, not too moist, not too dry, u'll get a feel for it. Anyway, hope that helped, good luck.
