i setup a webcam in my growbox and set it up to take still frame pics every 2-3 mins and then after 2 days put the frames together to make a very interesting video you can actually see what your plant does before you water and after its pretty crazy and also you can check plants without opening up the box

lol well im on dialup so my uploads take forever. i just got this house and did not think to ask what kinda net was available beforhand dialup is only choice but maybe i can do it from my office without anyone noticing...lol

well i am cotemplating having a dedicated t1 run to my house and if i do that i can just do a live feed of the plants which would be cool

Just be careful man. Make sure you are not hooked up to the internet while the pics are being taken. I would just be really paranoid while taking live pictures with my web cam of my pot while online. I'm sure any crazy ass hacker or gov't agency could check it out if they really wanted to! Odds are slim to none, but just be careful. Good idea though!
