Want Denser Buds

OK this is my first grow. Got everything i need, its starting off well. Plants looking healthy. But recently I've smoked two of my friends home grown and there buds were really really shaky. Like it was nothing to break it up. It looked that a bunch of droopy spikes. Really loose lol. How do i avoid this?

Grow it right, and if your still not getting dense buds, get a strain that grows dense buds. Some strains grow light fluffy buds.

Make sure you let it finish all the way, alot of people dont and thats why they get fluffy buds.

Yes that too, make sure the calyx's are swollen. Filled up with THC and all those other yummy chemicals.

....grow an Indica dominate strain, use HID's not cfl's....keep your lights close (but don't burn foilage)....enrich your room with CO2. Keep temps/humidity in range....works great!

I have a buddie that super drys his meds which makes it light and fluffy, Also a super hot bloom rooms will do this. Genetics plays a roll, Know how ect. When drying i like to keep mine kinda spongy to the touch makes for dencer nicer nugs.

thanx bro. they definitly grew sativas with cfls. thanx for the pics. nice buds!!! i smoked some train wreck last weekend. didnt really live up to the hype

Yeah, that's pretty much how the weed kingdom goes; sativas are on the light and fluffy side and indicas are denser.

The biggest contributor to dense bud is a Good light. Minimum 400 watt HPS.
