Virgin Strains

Is their a market for none hybrid seeds?

I noticed that most sites selling seeds are basically all hybrid. Would't it be nice to buy virgin seeds from around the world so that we can create our own new strain?

I'm a sativa fan and wish I could combine strains from Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines & Africa!

the breeder that sells landrace afghan kush seeds has many landrace strains. they are hybridized in the realm of 1% or so to retain vigor (due to inbreeding) but you will be hard pressed to find that fraction of "contamination" being expressed even remotely.

One example of what you had in mind is white widow. Brazilian sativa meets indian indica. Both landrace strains crossed and backcrossed.

Search out "Landrace's", those are your 'virgin' seeds.

As was mentioned in the previous post, there are a few breeders that maintain Landrace species. IIRC, D.N.A. Genetics is one of them.
