Very sick plants in Veg - Deficiency or burn? Please help diagnose :(

Hi,

I often view these forums, but have never posted before. I could really use some help with diagnosing my plants, as whatever is going on with them seems to be only getting worse.

I purchased my plants as clones and have been growing them for about 2.5 weeks. Strain is GDP. For the 1st week they were under a 4 bulb T5. For the past week they have been under a 400w California Lightworks LED panel. Light is 32" away.

The clones came in rockwool. I waited until the roots were growing out the bottom and then transplanted them into 3 gallon pots. The medium is Roots Organic Soilless Medium, which contains "Coco fiber, perlite, pumice, worm castings, bat guano, kelp meal, oyster shell flower, greensand, soluble kelp, glacial rock dust and leonardite." I didn't add anything to the medium, as it seemed to have plenty of perlite.

For the transplant/1st watering, I gave the plants 1/4 strength Hydrofarm CNS 17 Grow. The water is filtered with a Small Boy. Because the medium isn't straight coco, I PH'ed the water to 6.5 (I'm not sure if this was my first mistake).

Plants looked great though. For my second watering, I lowered the PH to 6, as I had been reading quite a bit about lower PH for Coco. I fed half strength Hydrofarm and half strength CalMag.

The plants started to look pretty bad within a few days. I immediately assumed that they had nute burn. Maybe the medium had enough amendments to sustain the plants for a week or two? To try to prevent the problem from getting worse, I flushed the plants with plain water (PH'ed to 6). Since then, I have watered the plants twice with plain water (PH'ed to 6).

They have appeared sick for about a week and it seems to be progressively getting worse, despite my actions. Besides the burn(?)/dead spots, growth has practically come to a standstill. Most of the damage is spread throughout the plants, though for most of the plants it hasn't hit the top leaves.

This has left me wondering, is it actually a deficiency? Or was there nute burn and some sort of lockout?

One other thing, it has been hot recently. Most days I have been able to keep the temp around 75-80, but there were a few days where it was around 85. I keep my tent open with air circulating to try to help. From what I read, it doesn't seem to be heat stess, but I could be wrong.

This is only my second grow. I would really, really appreciate any guidance that any of you can provide. I have to water the plants tomorrow and am wondering if I should continue on with plain water or if I should add in quarter strength nutes again? If I should feed, should I include CalMag in the regimen?

I have attached 3 pictures. Again, I really appreciate any guidance you can give me.

Thank you!
Jenn

I'm more concerned that growth has almost stopped, so they aren't growing new fan leaves.

Do you think it's nute burn? If so, at
What point should I start feeding again?

Thanks!

Yep.
It's cooking.
I don't think that is the reason you noticed it stopped growing though.
Your plant normally will slow or stop foliage growth for a little bit, sometimes up to 2 weeks when re potted, as it feels the new space and focuses on growing roots to support the plant's needs.
If you're due to water again tomorrow, just give straight tap water.
If you have a big pot or bowl, fill it and let it sit on the counter overnight to let the chlorine evaporate off.

Do it in the sink, so you can put extra through it, and flush out any extra nutes in there.
Run at least a gallon through it slowly, and let it drain good, then dry out again.
Next water, use only tap water again.

Thanks for the response Bakatare666.

I have already flushed them and watered twice with just ph'ed, filtered water.

The damage seems to be spreading which is why I feared something else was going on too.
