Very first auto grow @ day 32 LSTed but no new node growth?

Hey guys I’m getting worried that I’m about to run into some fat popcorn buds judging by the lack of nodes I have on my big bud auto plant. All the LSTed side branches/top sites have <2 nodes and the main stem/top site has 3 nodes packed extremely close together. I’m currently day 32 from germinating and some pistils have started to pop up on some of the nodes in particular the main topsite. Will new nodes grow on the side branches or will I have to chalk this upto a newbie mistake and start over?

Take those branches and tie them down, spread them apart and equally flat. I think it depends on all factors for how great and how many nodes you will have with an auto. Don’t quit don’t throw it in the garbage. Once it starts to flower it will stretch, and then you will grow no more new leaves or Bud sites.

Pistils mean early flowering no? In that case wouldn’t this plant be essentially “done” with growing new foliage as it’s starting to pop pistils on all top sites? Autos seem WAY more finicky than photos damn. Also my complete lack of experience doesn’t help in judging how this plant is progressing at all lol

With auto's you don't start over, you start more.

Hard to guess what she'll do. She could take off and grow 2 feet in the next 2 weeks or she could stay small and turn into a few cola's.
In 3 years with auto's, I've only stunted one pair ( I think from too aggressive LST/disturbed roots) but they still gave me just over 3oz each. I've also had plants I thought would stay under 12" grow to over 3 feet tall during stretch.

Wow that’s awesome and encouraging to hear. Do new nodes grow during stretch? Or is it just the plant physically getting bigger prior to buds forming. I’m hoping that the former would be my situation

Pistles can be a sign of maturity, but may not mean it is in pure flowering mode. You can be in veg and have pre-pistles and still grow new leaves. Since it is an auto, I would expect the new leaf growing to stop soon. So we probably ‘done’ New foliage. But it looks good. If you have 4 branches, send them in opposite directions and make them at the same height.
