So I was looking at my T5HOs today, and scratching my head, not really liking the fact that they're not using the entire tube in the most efficient manner. My eye kept being drawn out to my near-vertical one providing side lighting when it hit me - disassemble my lamps and make a vertical-lamp box!
So, after some quick thoughts as to what space would best maximize such an idea with my 8-tube limit, I came up with a design plan, and then started going over the advantages and disadvantages of each section. I've come up with a 3'x3'x4' (deepxwidextall) that would give me the best possible setup and labeled specific zones and all parts.
Any ideas or potential modifications? I know I've got to think about protecting the sockets from moisture, and I know I have to think about airflow (but that won't be a big problem.) This design should make the most out of a 9 square foot area using just 8 54w T5HO bulbs.
