Vertical grow lighting question

I am doing a Vertigon system and need to know what would be a better choice for me (2) 600w or (2) 1000w.

I am doing a SOG grow with little or no veg cycle. I will start with mature 6" tall clones.

The measurement horizontally from the outer edge of the lip of the site cup to the edge of the cool-tube is 23". Assuming a 8 week flower period and a stout, non-leggy Indica strain, do you think I could use the 1000's and not get bleach or crowd isssues? Perhaps the 1000's would be just lumen overkill…

What's the rule of thumb for this design to figure optimum light lumens in a 360 degree vertical grow situation?

The other issue is that the 600w being a much shorter bulb design, the bulb shape leaves a gap in the middle of the tubes far greater than the 1000's.

By the way, not sure if this is relevant but the idea I had was to do the dual harvest; where you snip the main cola at the time it is ripe, then grow out the secondary colas for another week or two as needed.

Any and all input is profoundly appreciated as I fire up in a day or two.

I am curious to see how your grow develops, hopefully you will allow us to watch.

I would have thought that as the plants grow taller they would seriously start to crowd each other as the available space rapidly decreases the closer the cola gets to the bulb ... interesting though.
