Venting outside...no more hurricane shutters

So I thought I was clever and was venting straight outside then closing the hurricane shutters. Apparently I can't keep the shutters up unless there happens to be a hurricane. My question, how can I continue to vent outside without it being terribly conspicuous? The exhaust vent is 10" and if I opened the shutters now, it would be pretty obvious whats going on. Any suggestions as to window coverings or other options I may have?

Out thru the chimney if its in a basement, thru the attic via one of the non-spinning attic vents if its in an upstairs room.
