Ventilation Suggestions?

Hey guys, was wondering if someone could check out my journal post (link) and give suggestions for the ventilation.

I've got one hole in the ceiling (like an attic access) that I wanna run the duct through. I do not want to make any more holes.
Also I am wondering what size duct to use?

hey man, sounds like yu need at least 400cfm fan for all that ducting, might i suggest a few things, bringing fresh air in from outside is good as long as outside isnt 95 degrees in the summer, you might have to bring cooler air into your space so think about that. and for your exhaust.... the police use this devise called a FLIR camera. it looks for heat signatures coming out of houses. its not xray so cant see through walla but they will definately see a heat signature coming from one of your roof vents.

if it were me id bring fresh air into the room from another room in the house or just from right outside the grow box. and exhause it just into the attic. you have a carbon filter so shouldnt have to worry about smells, but you dont want that hot air pumped out of a vent

Aight man so what if I just pumped air from right outside of the box and left the closet door open for the most part (stealth isn't really an issue unless I have visitors, and even then they are rarely in that room). Then a straight pipe up to the attic for exhaust? Would that work? and what size fan/duct if I did that.

yeah thats sounds alot easier and like it'll work better. i have 2 tents in an office and i just open the door to the room whenever its just me home which is most of the time considering its my house and only i live here. i'd go with 6 inch ducting and a 6 inch blower fan. between 3-400 cfm is ideal for your area. at the end of your exhaust tube up into the attic, your wanna want to put on a back-draft damper or at least a filter screen. you dont want any nasties crawling up into your exhaust system when its off

I would use both holes to vent your attic and vent you grow into your attic and suck cool air from another room or basement/crawl space if you have one! I always suggest at least a 6in 400 cfm fan. just because you can turn the fan down to what ever you need! make sure you put panty hose or something over you ducting ends to stop bugs from getting in!

How tall do you think the cab should be? I have 8' of vertical space

EDIT: Also, I was planning to veg for 3weeks and flower for 5... First hydro grow so not sure if this is a good number?
