Ventilation Question

hi I have a 2x2 grow tent I switched over to. I put my 4x4 in storage for now until I can dial that fucker in lol

But I'm running an hps light with a fan outside with a diy cover and one inside blowing directly at the 150w lamp. 23 watt CFL desk lamp and a 50 w I believe side lit led panel. The hood has the vents but no way to connect to an air duct, so my question is how do I set up a cooling system if I can't hook it in to the light. Thanks guys!

Btw looking for a pretty simple setup cost is no deterrent but I just want the best out of this one until I make the room to have both in my room

Okay. I can't see anyway to efficiently cool the light. You have to be able to draw the heat out of the area you don't want it in.
Just blowing a fan on it isn't doing shit.

So now you will have to control the temp for the space including all the heat from the light.

Air conditioner? ?

An ac would do it you think? How powerful cuz it's actually pretty cool in my tent mid 70s a little lower I just have no idea how air circulation is with my little setup lmao

buy a 6 inch inline fan put it in top of tent where there is a hole for it and on other side should be another hole buy elbow and section of pipe to go almost to floor for intake air also have fan inside circulating air and moving the plants a little there you go fresh air in old air out and plant floodering in the breeze with other fan in the tent if holes in the tent are 4 inch buy a reduser from 6 to 4 inch for exhaust fan that way late if you go back to the 4x4 tent you don't have to another fan and you can put on a carbon filter on it

^wow man thanks a shit ton. Imma get on that when I get paid : )

Quick question tho... So the fan and the duct go straight through without an opening? Or where would one go if it needs one. What I mean is with the fan on top and the duct going down and to the bottom hole is it all connected?

ok then sorry my typing sucks and I see now I missed a few words in there elbow and pipe only for fresh air in and not letting the exhaust fan from sucking in your tent . fan inside to circulate air and make your plants strong. exhaust fan to take hot air out and will also suck the fresh air in form other side of tent where you put elbow and pipe in. cool air in bottom hot air rises and out through exhaust fan remember to get a good exhaust fan like a active,vortec or something simmaler and a carbon filter if you live near people also fan should suck through carbon filter not blow threw it that is why carbon filter should be inside of tent hope this helps clear things up

@bseeds

Has a great idea. What I can tell you though is that if your temps coming in aren't great then heat can still be an issue.

I had 2 600s air cooled independent air from outside grow space...

Lots of heat issues for awhile...

Just set it up and it works perfect the duct seems to be sending aid out so I connected it to the top of the tent and put another fan in one of the other openings. Inline fan up top. Tent is nice and cool plants are getting a nice strong breeze not too strong. Works like a charm. Thanks a bunch guys!
